I have the honour to report that I have

granted a pension of £47. 10s. Od., with effect from the lat January, 1922, to Lance Sergeant William Reid, Hongkong Police, who is being invalided from the service on the recommendation of a Medical Board,

With the approval of the Executive Council

I reduced the pension, which amounted to £50, by 5 per cent.

as the Medical Board reported a history of excessive

indulgence in alcohol.

Lance Sergeant Reid has been granted five months' vacation leave from the 1st August, 1921.
